Description
Dive into an unforgettable week exploring the vibrant reefs of South and West Maui! Students will get hands-on experience with the ocean through multiple swims, observing the incredible undersea world and learning about the geography, geology, mythology, history, and oceanography of our local waters.
One highlight of the week is a two-person kayak adventure, giving students a whole new perspective of the shoreline and the back side of the reefs. Along the way, you might encounter whales, sea turtles, rays, and colorful reef fish—up close and personal! This Winterim is perfect for anyone ready to put their face in the water, explore the reefs, and connect with Maui’s marine environment.
Note: it is important that you have a level of comfort in the water and don’t mind swimming. You do not need to own your own snorkeling gear.
