Description
Spend the week getting a behind-the-scenes look at the farm-to-table movement with zero-waste, plant-based chef and restaurant owner Alexa Caskey of Moku Roots, Maui’s acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant.
Students will harvest fresh produce, learn professional cooking techniques, and create flavorful, healthy meals from scratch using ingredients grown right here on Maui. Along the way, students will explore sustainable farming practices, plant-based cooking, food waste reduction, and what it takes to run a successful farm-to-table restaurant.
This hands-on experience is perfect for students interested in food, cooking, sustainability, agriculture, or simply learning how to make incredible meals with fresh, local ingredients.
