Description
Step into the kitchen and explore the exciting world of cooking and baking alongside a professional private chef. Each day offers a hands-on culinary adventure designed to build confidence, sharpen techniques, and expand kitchen vocabulary—all while creating delicious dishes to enjoy and share.
Highlights
Day 1: Kick off the week with a trip to a local farm to gather fresh ingredients for lunch. (Last year’s group made their own spring rolls!) If a farm visit isn’t possible, students will enjoy a fun lesson in table manners and etiquette.
Day 2: Discover the art of baking through cookies, apple gratin, scones, energy bites, pies, and more.
Day 3: Travel the world through food! Learn to make fresh pasta from scratch, homemade sauces, salad dressings, chili, salsas, and more.
Day 4: Put your new skills to the test in a friendly cooking competition. Teams will prepare an appetizer, main dish, and sauce to present to a panel of judges made up of the chef and teacher chaperones.
Additional Activities:
Each morning begins with a sweet treat and tea or coffee while students learn key culinary vocabulary. Throughout the week, they’ll also practice meal prep, kitchen safety, time management, teamwork, and farm-to-table cooking—all essential skills for thriving in a busy kitchen.

Seabury will provide transportation if needed. Students are allowed to be dropped off by 8:30 am and picked up by 2:00pm at the location.
