Description
Come get your feet wet and explore the hidden ecosystems that flow through Maui’s valleys. Guided by renowned aquatic biologist Skippy Hau, students will dive into the study of Maui’s freshwater streams, learning what makes these habitats vital to the island’s health. Through hands-on fieldwork at Honomanu and Wailuku streams, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of native and invasive species, practice scientific observation and data collection, and experience the connection between freshwater ecology and conservation.
